The artwork depicts Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) being welcomed into sainthood by three other Carmelite saints.

The three welcoming saints are Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein), and Saint Teresa of Ávila.
